Founded October 31, 1996
The Beginning
The First Domain
RogerLe.com is registered on October 31, 1996 in Dallas, Texas. Hosted on ISI (Internet Servers Incorporated), the company launches with a clear mission: serve the Portuguese-speaking community online, at a time when few people knew what a web server even was.
Every line of code was written by hand, tag by tag. No frameworks, no tutorials in Portuguese. Just books, determination, and a dial-up connection.

The Brand Takes Shape
First full redesign. Dark background, globe graphic, sidebar navigation — pure 1990s web aesthetics. RogerLe positions itself as a "World Wide Web Provider", running on a T-3 45Mbps connection via UUNet — the world's largest backbone at the time.
Services included virtual hosting, FTP, POP3 email, CGI scripts, and mailing lists — resources considered premium in 1998.
Growth
Rede Globo and 100,000 Visits
A historic milestone: Rede Globo — Brazil's largest television network — selects RogerLe Company as the official chat server provider for the soap opera Malhação. It was the first Globo program to have its own chat room.
The site surpasses 100,000 visits and launches a new visual identity with the tagline that would last forever: "Internet para quem acredita."
Recognition
INFO Exame's Top Pick
INFO Exame magazine (Issue 166, January 2000) publishes the first major comparative review of Portuguese-language web hosting. Among DigiWeb, Loca Web, Mr. Help and others, RogerLe receives the "A Escolha do INFO" award — best Portuguese-language hosting provider.
The highlights: technical robustness, CGI/Perl support, and quality of customer service. A copy of the magazine, still in its original plastic wrap, is kept to this day.
Incorporation
RogerLe.com, Inc.
The company is formally incorporated as RogerLe.com, Inc. Top-tier infrastructure: Dell servers, 128-bit certificates, and Cisco routers with a 100% uptime guarantee — the same infrastructure level used by Yahoo!, Hotmail, and Lycos.
By 2002, the site had recorded over 1 million visits and was the recognized reference for the Portuguese-speaking community online.
Maturity
New Control Panel, Another Award
New professional design, a fully Portuguese control panel, FrontPage 2003 extensions, live chat support, and plans starting at $3.95/mo. RogerLe.com solidifies its position as the go-to choice for Portuguese-speaking businesses and professionals worldwide.
The INFO Exame award for best Portuguese-language hosting provider is renewed — confirming years of consistent quality.
Technical Evolution
CentOS, PHP, and Sixteen Years Strong
Sixteen years after founding, RogerLe.com remains independent, maintained by the same team that built it. Upgraded to CentOS servers, PHP across all plans, and PayPal for secure payments.
While larger providers were acquired or disappeared, RogerLe.com held to what always set it apart: personal attention, support in Portuguese, and serious infrastructure.

19 Years
Approaching two decades of service, RogerLe.com celebrates 19 years serving the Portuguese-speaking community with clients on 4 continents. Still the oldest Portuguese-language hosting company on the Internet.

24 Years

In a year when the world stood still, RogerLe.com completed 24 years of uninterrupted operation. The servers never went down. Customers kept being served. The team kept building — because that's what we've always done.

Three Decades. A New Era.
30 Years
Thirty years after the first server, RogerLe.com launches its most ambitious site yet — built with the support of artificial intelligence. The billing system, helpdesk, and all infrastructure continue to be developed in-house, now with the help of an AI crew that collaborates daily with Roger and Le.
Just as the Internet changed our lives in 1994, AI is changing how we build, serve, and grow in 2026. Technology is still our engine. The name says it all — RogerLe has always been more than a business. It's a partnership.
